Hey, my friends… I have some major updates concerning the content I put out, enough to make a post. I will be sharing with you my improved goals for this platform and would love your input too (poll at the end). So… let’s get right into this.

#1: Posting

First of all, I want to say that I know lately I haven’t been very active or productive here. Now, this isn’t a post to say “I need to back down” or anything. It is actually quite the contrary.  I want to put lots of effort into this blog and continue posting weekly. I admit that things like my Instagram (now at 1000+ followers) have taken up my time. I got excited about my hobby in toy photography and slacked off here, and for that, I do want to apologize.

I will now be posting here every Tuesday. 😀

It is a perfect day for me to post and I know by posting once a week I can have time to put effort into every post.

 

#2: My Pursuits

Alright, many of you know me because I started a doll blog about my American Girl dolls years ago. Also, you may know that months back I ran into some trouble with it and have to pay a bit of money to get it back. I also said that if I quit doll blogging it would go out with a bang.

Unfortunately, I didn’t foresee the blog shutting down without my notice. As much as I have rebelled and fought within myself, I’ve almost had to force myself to realize (with lots of nudging from my Mom) I just don’t play like I used to and that my interests are evolving.

I still LOVE my dolls. I will not get rid of a single one of them, and I am keeping all of their stuff. The thing is though, I can’t pursue very many interests if I want to get good at any of them.

Doll blogging blessed me so incredibly much and I am so thankful to the Lord for giving me that opportunity. It helped me and taught me so many things. Without it, I would be much less proficient in things like photography and story crafting.

But… I realized if I really want to hone my craft in certain things and am now acquiring new interests, I have to let doll blogging slide. 

If you’ve known me for any amount of time you probably know I can sometimes loath growing up, but there has to be a time.

Photography and non-fiction blogging are the hobbies I am choosing to narrow my focus on now, while my main pursuit will be fiction writing. Already those are a slight bit daunting. Telling stories with my dolls has turned to telling stories on paper with even wider possibilities. Also, I still do toy photography, just with action figures instead of dolls. I still love using my imagination. So… maybe my doll blog did not go out with a bang, but I hope there were some exciting moments in there for those who followed along. I am most thankful for how it grew me as a person and introduced me to so many neat people.

#4: Writing

Like I said before, my fiction writing is something I am going to try and give top priority to. Actually, I am working on an extensive short story project right now that will be releasing to the Treasured Script Newsletter as soon as possible.

#3: My Focus

I really want to start narrowing the focus of this blog to the content people want to see. The only thing is… I don’t know what people want! Would you help me and take this easy survey down below?
