Review of My Bible

IMG_1987

Hello, hello, hello! How are you? I recently received a Bible from my Mom as a gift for my baptism! I am in love with it. It is so pretty. Today I’ll be giving you guys a little review on it. It would make an excellent gift (or if you just want a gorgeous Bible for yourself, that works tooย ๐Ÿ˜‰).

Also note: this is not an ad just my opinion. ๐Ÿ™‚

This Bible is from Hosanna Revival. Now the ESV Bibles they have are a little expensive, so I was thankful my Mom bought it and I didn’t have to. XD Seriously the price is probably the only downside though, but it is really not all that bad considering the quality.

Mine is the Paris theme, and on the back, it says “it is well.” Some of their Bibles don’t even say “Bible” on the front, but I wanted one that did, so people can tell immediately what it is. XD

The cover is made of a cloth material so it’s definitely a Bible you have to be careful with and is not easily wipable or cleaned. I love the design on mine.

When you first open it there is a “This Bible Belongs to:” page on the right. On the left, I placed the note my Mom had personalized to go with it (they had the option to make a note if the Bible was a gift). It had originally arrived taped to the inside of the packaging box.

What is great is that this Bible isn’t simply just a Bible with a table of contents. It has a bunch of other goodies. For starters, it has an introduction page that talks about the Bible.

I’m really excited to use the “What the Bible says about:” pages, where you can do precisely that: look up what the Bible says about different subjects. I still haven’t tested to see if all the references are accurate, but it is quite a cool thing to have.

It has intros to both the Old and New Testaments whenever they begin. They are a nice synopsis.

Now, this is a journaling Bible so it has lined margins on the side to use. I am nervous about messing up my Bible so I decided to exclusively use pencil so I can erase any mistakes. XD

Flipping to the end of the Bible, it has these neat few pages about God’s plan of salvation, which would be awesome to share the gospel.

It also includes Introductions to the booksย of the Testaments in the back.

Finally, it even has a reading plan so you can read the entire Bible in a year!

My Bible has a built-in cute pink bookmark that I put to use.

I strongly suggest these Bibles, though they are on the pricey side. I’m not sure, but I think they are all the ESV translation, which was perfect for me (it’s my favorite translation, being translated word for word).

What’s your Bible like? Are you more of a girly Bible type or do you need something that will stand up to some wear? If you enjoyed the post I appreciate every like and comment! Bye, for now, everyone!

  1. Ooooooooo! That is so pretty! What an awesome gift! It looks like a super good quality one, those “what the bible says” things are awesome! I actually found the answer to a question I had been searching a long time for in one of those. Ok, so I actually have 3 Bibles, my first one is a NIV Adventure Bible I got when I was like 8, a NIV Discoverers Bible that was my sister’s, and a little New Testament Bible that my mom put in the box with Felicity when I received her for Christmas ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Awesome Bible! I love the last picture so much! My Bible is a GORGEOUS coloring Bible with amazing drawings on the inside, and on the edges of the paper it is colored so when it is closed it looks like butterflies on a purple background (sorry that was a bit confusing). Congrats on your baptism, that is awesome!

  3. Thatโ€™s a cool bible! I like the margins(mine has very small margins, but I write in them anyway๐Ÿ˜‚) I was worried about messing up my scriptures at first too(I got a nice set when I was baptized) but I got a cheaper set and really dived right in to highlighting and all. I like your design! Mines just simple, but I donโ€™t use it too often(I will next year when I have a class on it though!) Best of luck with your scripture study!
I also nominated you for an award on my blog(awards x4)!
